Choose your own dates to go, travel with your friends or family or on your own, This tour will take you to Elsamere at Naivasha, former home of Joy Adamson, author of the book ‘Born Free’, and her husband George. It is now a lodge and conservation centre, set in acacia forest with accommodation in bungalows in the grounds overlooking the lake. There are four days here to enjoy the excellent facilities and hospitality, see a profusion of game and bird-life, and also learn about the important work of the Field Study Centre Another four days will be spent in the Masai Mara staying at Duma Camp an exclusive small private camp, to see amongst many other things the unforgettable sight of the great herds of wildebeest, antelope and zebra, and the excitement of seeing the predators, lion, cheetah, or hyena following their prey. Day 1
Assemble at London Heathrow to take an evening flight to Nairobi.
Days 2, 3.4 &5 On arrival in Nairobi, your Elsamere hosts will meet you and transfer you through the Great Rift Valley to ‘Elsamere’on the shores of Lake Naivasha, the former home of Joy and George Adamson for a four night stay. Here at Elsamere, in addition to the safari drives where you will find a great variety of game and many birds. Birdlife on the lake includes Long-tailed and Great Cormorants, African Fish Eagles and Pied Kingfishers, Black Herons, Babblers and Lovebirds. and occasionally the rare Verraux's Eagle Owl. A colony of Colobus Monkeys and a pod of hippopotami are resident near the Centre and are to be found frequently in the grounds. Options are available to take a boat trip to Crescent Island to see flamingos, pelicans and hippopotami on the lake and take a walk on the island, or make a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park. The park is famous for it's natural hot geysers, and is a breeding ground for eagles, buzzards and vultures. Game viewing includes giraffe, buffalo, Colobus monkeys, hippos, hartebeest, lion, leopard and cheetah. There will be a visit to the Field Study Centre and Museum to see the legacy of Joy Adamson, and also to the Osarian Flower Farm , the largest of its’ kind in Africa covering 225 hectares and employing 6000 people where flowers are grown for the export market. The advanced techniques of production include geothermal and solar energy and it exports 4 million flowers per year. Other visits to meet local farmers can be arranged
Overnights: Elsamere Lodge
Days 6,7,8 & 9 Take a charter flight from Naivasha to the Masai Mara for a 4 nights stay at Duma Camp. This is a small luxury private camp from where you can see the great herds of plains game for which the Mara is famous. The camp is ideally placed in the path of the migration of game between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti in Tanzania and there is always a chance that you may see it during this period, but the Mara is an amazing spectacle at any time of the year. Here you can enjoy the utmost comfort, and excellent cuisine in camp. In the bush you can enjoy picnics, and 'sundowners' in places with unbelievable views, as well as walks and hikes escorted by Masai guides, and safari drives through the Mara to see the profusion of wildlife to be found here.
Overnights: Duma Camp
Day 10 Fly today back to Nairobi in the early morning, and take a day room at the famous Norfolk Hotel to enjoy the excellent comfort and facilities until it is time to transfer to the airport for the evening flight home.

Day 11 Arrive at London Heathrow
