About Us

Stita Special Destinations is a third generation, family owned tour operator based in Cheltenham, which has been in operation for over 50 years.

Stita has always prided itself on offering tours different and more adventurous than the standard package tour market. In the early 60’s and 70s the company ran tours to Russia and China long before those destinations became standard destinations for the travel industry. The emphasis has always been on quality, escorted tours using the best hotels and providing well-researched and interesting itineraries.

African destinations, with a strong safari element, have been one of the company’s main strengths over many years. Botswana and the Okavango Delta, since 1988, have featured regularly as a favourite destination.

Recently South American destinations have become one of our prime areas of interest. Tours to Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Chile are now a part of its increasing diverse and exciting range of choices on offer.

Stita Special DestinationTours always tries to offer a blend of interests that covers culture, cuisine, local history and some aspects of the local flora and fauna. There is always a good mix of big city stays and rural locations, of activity based visits and leisure time.
